Why Audiobooks?
We love to read and especially enjoy listening to audiobooks. Did you know you can either listen to books on CDs or actually download them into your iPod and/or many other MP3 players? If you haven't listened to an audio book, you are in for a real treat.
If you love to read, you know how you hate to put your book down to do those mundane chores like making the bed, dishes and laundry. If you have an audiobook downloaded into your iPod or MP3 player, no need to stop reading....just go about your mundane chores or exercise and keep up with your book till you're really ready to put it down. My husband downloads his books into his Smartphone, connects his Smartphone up in the car and listens to his books to and from work.
Listen to books on your Apple iPod
Just for your information, purchases at Audible.com will download right into iTunes so you can easily add them to your iPod. It's easy. I'm 62, not a tech wizard, and I have no problems at all. I've been a Platinum Member at Audible.com since October, 2006.
Check out Amazon's Kindle...
My husband is getting me a Kindle for Christmas! I'll be writing about my experiences with the Kindle sometime after Christmas. The Kindle will also play audio books/music and I can use the Kindle with books from Audible.com too. Sometimes I like to read, sometimes I like to listen, and with the Kindle I will be able to do both with one incredible gadget!
